Bulldogs Post Good Results at Appalachian Open

BOONE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's track and field squad competed in the Appalachian Open on Friday and posted some good results.
Emily Pineda made a triumphant return to her home town with a second-place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.21. She took sixth in the discus with a throw of 35.45 meters.
Corey McClintock picked up a second place finish in the hammer throw of 44.26 meters.
On the men's side, Kevin Paradise took third in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:16.
Kurt Hibert had two fifth place finishes. He had a throw of 42.45 meters in the discus and 48.80 meters in the hammer throw.
Jeremy Harn earned two eighth-place finishes in the throws. He had a throw of 37.60 meters in the discus and 12.36 meters in the shot put.
Cameron Howard finished fifth in the high jump with a lead of 1.76 meters. Delano Lorittis also finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.95 meters.
The Bulldogs will now begin preparations for the Big South Conference Championships that will take place from April 19-21 at Coastal Carolina.
