Overview: Enjoyed a tremendous field career after starting out in sprints…ended her career in grand style with school-record in hammer throw…excellent student who graduated in May…named to Big South Scholar-Athlete team for Outdoor Track and Field senior year…red-shirted a year when selected for UNC Asheville Abroad program in Scotland.
2014 Outdoor: Finished second in the hammer throw and earned a podium finish at the Big South Conference championships (4-17) with a school-record throw of 51.31 meters …kept breaking her own school record in four straight meets…finished second in the event at Western Carolina (4-12) with throw of 50.39 meters…was also second at High Point (4-4) with toss of 49.45 meters.
2013-14 Indoor: Came in third at Big South Conference Championships (2-28) in the weight throw with throw of 15.48 meters…top throw came in third-place finish at JDL Fast Track Invitational (12-7) when she set a school record with a throw of 16.87 meters…also threw the shot put during the season with top mark of 8.37 meters coming at Orange and Purple Invitational (1-11).
2012 Outdoor: Threw the discus and hammer throw during the season…placed seventh at Raleigh Relays in the hammer throw with toss of 45.99 meters (3-31)…season-high in the discus came at ASU Open with throw of 29.23 meters (4-13).
2011-12 Indoor: Finished seventh in the weight throw at UNC Open as she had toss of 13.50 meters (2-4)…top throw in the shot put also came at UNC (2-4) with toss of 8.37 meters.
2011 Outdoor: Season-best in the hammer throw came at Big South Meet (4-22) with toss of 38.52 meters…also competed in the javelin and produced throw of 19.41 meters at Western Carolina (3-26).
2010-11 Indoor: Competed in three different sprint events and the weight throw…posted season-bests in the 55 and 200 meters at ASU Invitational (1-15) as she had time of 8.19 in 55 meters and 29.43 in 200...top mark in the 60 meters was 9.08 at Niswonger Invitational (2-4)…season-best in the weight throw came at Niswonger Invitational (2-5) with toss of 10.20 meters.
2010 Outdoor: Top time in the 100 meters came at 49er Classic (3-19) with mark of 13.76….posted a time of 28.47 in the 200 meters at Lenoir-Rhyne Open (4-10)…season-high in the shot put, also came at Lenoir-Rhyne with throw of 4.60 meters (4-10).
2009-10 Indoor: Posted mark of 29.42 in the 200 meters at ASU Invitational (12-9)…top time in the 400 meters came at UNC (2-12) with mark of 1:05.92.
Before UNC Asheville: Local product from Black Mountain who attended North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham.
