UNC Asheville-VMI Game Suspended

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Big South Conference baseball game between VMI and UNC Asheville has been suspended until noon tomorrow due to lightning spotted in the Greenwood Field area. The game will resume in the top of the eighth inning where it was called.
Asheville holds a 2-0 lead in the contest, scoring on a Todd Joyner solo home run in the bottom of the fifth and a VMI error that allowed Andrew Kirkland to score from first base.
Game two of the three-game series will begin approximately 30 minutes after the final two innings of today's game are completed.
