Spartans Outlast Men's Tennis 5-2

GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNC Asheville captured the doubles points but UNC Greensboro won five singles matches to outlast the Bulldogs 5-2 in men's tennis action Sunday evening at the Spartans Tennis Center.
Senior Jonas Brobeck won in three sets at #3 flight as he fought back from a first-set loss in a tie-breaker, 7-6. He won the next two sets, 6-4, 6-4.
In doubles action, Asheville's #2 team of Adrien Langeard and Thomas Rees defeated Randy Phillips and C. Varapongsittikul 8-4. The #3 team of Pete Conaty and John Schubel knocked off Jimmy Roueche and Cameron Smith, 8-3.
The Bulldogs (1-3) are off until next Sunday when they host Brevard at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown at 3 p.m.
