ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team will be in action this weekend with a pair of matches. The Bulldog netters are looking for their first victory of the season as they'll host Mars Hill in their home opener Saturday at 3 p.m. and travel to UNC Greensboro at 4 p.m.

Asheville takes on the Lions at the Asheville Racquet Downtown location on Saturday. There is no admission charge.

The Bulldogs (0-2) have played well in both of their matches but played some stiff competition as they lost at N.C. State, 7-0 and at Appalachian State, 4-3 last Sunday.

"We're playing some good tennis but just need to get over the hump and get into the win column," commented Asheville coach Lise Gregory. "These will be two good matches for us this weekend."

It will be the first match of the year for Mars Hill. UNC Greensboro sports a 0-2 record with losses to Memphis and Tennessee Tech.

Adrien Langeard and Jonas Brobeck both won singles matches against the Apps last Sunday.
