Bussard Takes 3rd in 3000 Meters

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Emma Bussard finished in third place in the 3000-meters on Saturday to highlight UNC Asheville's performance at the JDL Fast Track Invitational.
Bussard took third in the event with a time of 10:14. Melanie Kulesz came in sixth in the event at a time of 10:17. Kasey Briggs finished 12th at 10:31.
Asheville had other top performances as Sarah Gentry finished fourth in the 800 meters with a school-record time of 2:14.
Molly Harkavy competed in both the 60-meter hurdles (9.43) and 200 meters (27.31).
The 4x400 relay team posted a time of 4:04 and came in fifth.
In the field events, Meredith Foster came in fourth in the high jump at 1.60 meters. Lauren Baker took sixth in the same event.
On the men's side, Milan Ristic finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.12) and competed in the 200 meters (23.28).
Sam Maynard was 14th in the 800 meters (1:59), while Aaron Martin was 16th in the mile (4:23).
John Bellard took 11th in the triple jump with a jump of 12.80 meters. Delano Loritts was 14th at 12.29 meters.
