ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's indoor track and field team head to the campus of East Tennessee State this weekend to take part in the prestigious Niswonger Invitational staring on Friday and running through Saturday.
The Bulldog teams have had a week off after performing well at the Dick Taylor Invitational at UNC Chapel Hill.
"I like the way our season has started," commented Bulldog coach Jesse Norman. "We seem to have a little more depth this year than we've had in years past. There's still plenty of room for improvement but overall it's been a good start to the season."
Norman expects still competition this weekend.
"The Niswonger is one of the top indoor events in the country," stated Norman. "We're going to see some of the best track and field athletes in the nation this weekend. This will be a good measuring stick to see where we're at right now."
