ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's basketball team hits the road on Monday night to face Presbyterian College at Templeton Arena starting at 7 p.m. Monday's game will be audio-streamed and can be listened to at www.uncabulldogs.com.

The Bulldogs (6-10, 2-3) had a two-game winning streak snapped at Winthrop Saturday, 84-68. A bright spot in the game was the amazing shooting of junior guard Grace Blaylock. She set a school record with seven treys and scored a career-best 23 points in the loss. Asheville trailed by 18 in the first half and got within three in the second half but just couldn't finish the comeback.

"We just had too many turnovers on Saturday at Winthrop," commented Asheville coach Betsy Blose. "I liked the way we fought back in the game, and Grace was sensational. We're plugging along and getting better."

The Bulldogs look to snap a two-game losing streak to the Blue Hose (7-8, 1-3 BSC). PC won two close games last season as the Blue Hose edged Asheville, 53-51 in Clinton and then rallied past the Bulldogs, 74-68 at Justice Center.

Presbyterian College has a 7-8 overall record and 1-3 mark in the Big South. They downed Gardner-Webb at home on Saturday, 54-43.

"PC has a good team and is well-coached," explained Blose. "We always have close games with them and hope we can find a way to win on Monday."

Freshman guard Shonese Jones continues to lead Asheville in scoring with a 13.5 average. Senior guard Lindsey Thompson is right behind her with a 12.1 mark. Kelli Riles continues to lead the Big South in rebounding with an 11.8 average. She's averaging 9.9 points per game.

The Bulldogs return home on Saturday to host defending BSC champion Gardner-Webb at 2 p.m. There will be an Alumni Game that day at 11:30 a.m.
