Women's Basketball to Host Alumni Game on Jan. 21

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Basketball team will host an Alumni game next Saturday (Jan. 21) at Kimmel Arena starting at 11:30 am.
More than 20 former players have signed up to come back, including 2007 Big South Tournament MVP Amanda Elder, 2003 Big South Rookie of the Year Kristal Hood and 2004 Big South Rookie of the Year Brittany Hendley.
"I'm really excited to bring back as many former players as we can," stated Bulldog coach Betsy Blose. "We want to build some traditions here and want to know all of our former players are welcome. I hope we have a great turn-out and it should be fun to watch the Alumni game."
The Bulldogs host Gardner-Webb that afternoon at Kimmel Arena starting at 2 p.m. There will be an informal gathering of the alumni returning Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Pack's Tavern.
