SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Wofford scored three goals in the first half and two in the second half as the Terriers posted a 5-0 victory over UNC Asheville Sunday afternoon at Snyder Field.
Wofford was led by Emily Bougas who scored two goals for the home team. The Bulldogs fell to 0-4-0 on the year.
Asheville goalkeeper Heather Muller made four saves in defeat.
The Bulldogs controlled parts of the match as they out-shot the Terriers, 21-12. Two Wofford goalkeepers stopped nine Asheville shots.
Senior Leilani Halkiotis led the Bulldog offense with seven shots, while freshman Amanda Dailor took five shots.
UNC Asheville plays next at mountain rival Western Carolina this Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
