Pearson Wins 100 & 200 Meters at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Senior sprinter Natalie Pearson continued her outstanding start to her final season at UNC Asheville with two first-place finishes at the Charlotte 49er Classic Saturday afternoon at the Irwin Belk Track Stadium.
Pearson finished first in the 100 meters with a time of 11.59. She also took first place in the 200 meters with a time of 23.85.
The Sheffield, England native is now a perfect 4-for-4 in races she's run in the outdoor season this year.
Sarah Gentry did a nice job for Asheville in the 800 meters as she finished in second place as she posted a time of 2:15. Kylie Smith finished fifth in the 3000 meters at 10:53.
Ashlei Clodfelter took fifth for the Bulldogs in the javelin with a throw of 39.80 meters.
Highlighting the men's side was Milan Ristic with a sixth-place finish in the 110 Hurdles as he posted a time of 14.52. Sam Maynard finished 14th in the 800 meters at a time of 1:55.
