Riles Continues to Lead Nation in Rebounding; 12th in Free Throw Percentage

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior forward Kelli Riles continues to lead the nation in rebounding. Riles has a 13.3 average and has a slight advantage over Jessica Kuster of Rice who is averaging 13.1 rebounds per game and is second nationally.
The Ellenwood, Ga. native has enjoyed an excellent season so far for the Bulldogs. She has collected at least 11 rebounds in four of Asheville's second games and that includes a Big South-record 28 rebounds vs. USC Upstate on Nov. 30. The 28-rebound performance against the Spartans was the second highest in school history.
In addition, Riles collected her 500th career rebound against Upstate. She now has 527 rebounds and is the 12th player in school history to grab more than 500 rebounds.
Kelli is also having a great year at the free throw line. She's shooting. 926 from the charity stripe (25-of-27) and tied for 12th best nationally. Riles went 13-for-13 from the free throw line in the season's first game against Winston-Salem State.
The Bulldogs start a two-game road trip this Saturday when the play at Kennesaw State at 5 p.m. They'll travel to South Carolina State Monday at 6 p.m. before returning home against Mercer on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Noon.
