USC Upstate Rallies Past UNC Asheville 9-6

Sunday's Baseball Win over Charleston Southern Will be Replayed on AET Channel 16

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville baseball team's exciting 5-4 victory over Charleston Southern on Sunday at McCormick Field will be replayed on TV. Starting today at 1 p.m., 7:20 p.m. and Midnight, the game will be shown on Asheville Educational TV Channel 16 at those times for the next two weeks.

Sunday's win completed a three-game sweep for the Bulldogs and boosted Asheville into eighth place in the Big South Conference standings. The Bulldogs stand 15-32 overall and 8-16 in the league standings. The top eight teams go to next week's Big South Conference Tournament at Winthrop. Asheville now has an 11/2-game lead over CSU for that eighth spot. The Bulldogs could possibly move into seventh place this weekend with two wins against Gardner-Webb at McCormick Field. Asheville hosts the Runnin' Bulldogs this Thursday through Saturday and all of the games will start at 1 p.m.
