Bulldogs Play Asheville Tourists on Tuesday Night

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville baseball team plays its annual exhibition game with the Asheville Tourists at McCormick Field on Tuesday evening starting at 7:05 p.m. Admission is a $5 suggested donation. Fans making a donation will get a free ticket to a future Asheville Tourists game in 2010. All proceeds go to the UNC Asheville Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund.
Tuesday's game will be a part of the Asheville Tourists fan-fest that they have each year with the gates opening at 4 p.m. The Tourists open their season on Thursday night
"We're excited to be playing the Asheville Tourists once again and looks it's going to be just a beautiful day for a ball game on Tuesday," stated Bulldog coach Tom Smith. "We can't thank the Tourists enough for allowing us to play them. This should be a great opportunity and hopefully we'll have a great crowd to watch us play."
