ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Due to the threat of inclement weather in the Buncombe County area UNC Asheville's baseball game with East Tennessee State University has been postponed until Tuesday, May 11 when the Bulldogs will play a doubleheader with the Buccaneers in Johnson City, Tenn., beginning at 7 p.m.
Today's game was originally scheduled for March 3 but had to be moved due to a winter storm in the Asheville area.
The Bulldogs will now play their next 10 games away from Asheville and don't play at home again until a game against Appalachian State at McCormick Field on May 12. Asheville begins the road trip at Furman tomorrow night and then heads to High Point for a crucial three-game Big South series this weekend.
The Dogs are at Appalachian State and Furman next week before ending the month of April against defending BSC champion Coastal Carolina (April 30-May 2). The Chanticleers have been ranked in the top 10 all year and have not lost a Big South Conference game this season.
