Georgia State Holds off UNC Asheville, 5-2 in Men's Tennis

CONYERS, GA. - The Georgia State men's tennis team (14-5) won its seventh-straight match defeating UNC Asheville (4-11), 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Rockdale Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs battled hard but lost three singles matches in three sets to fall to the Panthers. Asheville earned singles wins from Nicolai Nonnenbroich at #1 flight and at #6 flight from Thomas Rees. Nonnenbroich downed Jackson Moore, 6-4, 6-4. Rees roared past William Adeimy, 6-0, 7-5.
Asheville came close to winning the doubles point but fell 2-1. Matt Waissen and Jonas Brobeck won at #1 flight over Jackson Moore and Lucas Thomaz, 8-6.
The Bulldogs play next on Tuesday after home against North Georgia starting at 12:30 p.m.
