Asheville Earns 65-53 Victory Over Coastal Carolina For First Big South Win

Lindsey Mongmomery Named to Big South All-Academic Team

HIGH POINT, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior forward Lindsey Montgomery was named to the Big South All-Academic Team Thursday night at the league's awards banquet that was held on the High Point University campus.

It's the second straight year for Montgomery to be named to the team. The Shelby native is Asheville's leading scorer (12.3) and rebounder (10.1). She has posted 12 double-doubles on the season and leads the Big South in rebounding.

Montgomery and the Bulldogs face top-seeded Gardner-Webb at Noon today in the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Tournament.
