LYNCHBURG, VA. - Liberty scored twice in the second half as the Flames recorded a 2-0 Big South Conference home win over UNC Asheville Saturday morning.

The loss dropped the Bulldogs record to 4-12-1 and 2-6-0 in the Big South Conference.  Liberty impored to  9-6-1 overall and 4-3-0 in league play.

The match was scoreless at halftime as Bulldog goalkeeper Lassi Hurskainen made three saves to keep LU off the scoreboard.

In the second half, Liberty finally broke through at the halfway point.  Off a free kick, Zach Clark sent a ball into the Asheville goal area that Travis Joseph was able to head into the back of the net. It was Joseph's first goal of the year and it came at 69:40.

The Flames made it 2-0 just six minutes later. Timothy Bullock tapped in a shot at 75:05 to give Liberty a two-goal lead.

Asheville will play next on Thursday, Nov. 11 in the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Tournament at High Point.
