Hill recorded 19 on the afternoon and hit .294 in the match. Asheville (19-12) was led by Cindi Miller with eight kills and seven digs. Sophomore Holly Shelton was a bright spot in defeat with six kills and four blocks.
Senior Kelsey Benorden finished her career with seven kills and 10 digs. Alex Stewart had 12 digs, while Rachel Wells had 10 digs.
The Bulldogs simply could not get untracked in the match and finished with 20 hitting errors.
The match turned midway through the first set. Asheville led 13-9 before Charleston Southern went on a 16-6 run to seize control of the match and win the set 25-19. Hill had six kills in the opening set in 10 swings.
The second set was all CSU. They scored the first five points of the set and quickly build the lead to 12-3. The Bulldogs could get no closer and fell 25-11 to go down 2-0 at intermission.
The third set had CSU leading 4-3 before the Lady Bucs went on a 9-2 run to sprint to a 13-4 advantage. The Bulldogs tried to rally and crept to 21-16 as Rachel Olivo had two kills in a 3-0 run.
But Hill would get two more kills and two more attack errors would give the third set to the Lady Bucs, 25-18 and end Asheville's season.
