High Point Downs UNC Asheville 3-0 in Men's Soccer

The Bulldogs received a great performance from goalkeeper Lassi Hurskainen. He made 11 saves and stopped a penalty kick in the first half from Okiomah.
High Point (10-2-1, 5-0-0 BSC) won its seventh straight contest and remained unbeaten at home this season at 7-0-1.
Okiomah scored at the 27:17 mark to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. He then scored four minutes later at 31:35 to pad the lead to 2-0.
In the second half, Okiomah scored off a rebound to increase the lead to 3-0 at 51:01.
The Panthers out-shot Asheville, 26-9 on the night. They held a 13-2 advantage in the first half. The Bulldogs battled back in the second half and forced HPU goalkeeper Michael Chesler to make six saves.
Asheville fell to 3-9-1 overall and 1-4-0 in league play.
David Wood led Asheville with three shots.
The Bulldogs next game comes on Oct. 23 when UNC Asheville hosts VMI starting at 2 p.m.
