CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Top-ranked UNC Chapel Hill broke open a close game with four goals in the final 30 minutes of the match as the Tar Heels downed UNC Asheville 5-0 in men's soccer action at Fetzer Field Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs kept the home team to one goal for most of the match before a goal by Alex Dixon in the 61st minute put the Tar Heels in front 2-0.

"Our lads played some good soccer against North Carolina," admitted Asheville coach Steve Cornish. "We had some great chances early in the match but their goalkeeper made two good saves.

UNC then scored three goals in a seven-minute stretch to get the final margin. The Tar Heels got goals in the stretch from Enzo Martinez, Kirk Uso and Chris Lebo.
