Calling All Bulldogs

Calling all Bulldogs:

It could be: Former UNC Asheville Students-Athletes, Baseball Alumni, Former Players, or Friends of the Baseball program. Any number of salutations, to the most important part of the UNCA baseball family, the past players who truly care. I chose: Calling all Bulldogs.

I chose calling, because I feel it's my life's work - that of coach/teacher, mentor and counselor - to young men through the game of baseball which teaches many life lessons.

I chose calling, because I am calling all of you to come back and be a part of shaping the Bulldog future. Your involvement is a key to future successes on and off the field.

I chose calling, because all of you are welcome at games, practices, camps, recommending potential student-athletes, road trips, sharing traditions, starting new traditions and even helping in mentoring current and future players. Calling you back to be involved in future alumni events: Alumni games; Alumni golf; Alumni dinners recognizing our past coaches and players so we all can reconnect; Alumni weekends during the spring (you guys being recognized and throwing out the first pitch); Alumni road trips (go with us and be a part of the action).

I am sincere when I say you are welcome here! Welcome back and welcome home. I want you here and I want you here often.

I chose Bulldogs in the salutation. Just saying Bulldogs stirs a sense - a sense of PRIDE in being a part of the Bulldog past and a sense of PRIDE in caring what its future will be. Sweating and working on the field together in the past, caring about the future. You are the most important group I will communicate with.

Your responsibility to respond to this calling is the same as mine. A past to remember, a future to mold. Step up and show your Bulldog Pride (BP), be a Proud Bulldog (PB). Be here, be involved.

Let's set a date soon for us all to get together and map plans to chart UNC Asheville's BASEBALL future.
