Bulldog Profiles: Summer Erb

Summer Erb Steps Down From Assistant Coaching Position

06.08.2009 | Women's Basketball

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? UNC Asheville Women's Basketball Coach Betsy Blose has announced today that assistant coach Summer Erb is leaving the Bulldog program to pursue other career opportunities.

Erb, a former N.C. State standout, has worked with the UNC Asheville program for the past three years. She was on the Bulldogs staff in the 2006-07 season when they won their first ever Big South Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

“We're going to miss Summer,” stated Blose. “We wish her nothing but the best and appreciate her contributions to our program over the past three years.”

Blose will be looking to fill two positions on her staff as Associate Head Coach Adell Harris left to take the head coaching position at Tusculum last month.

"We're working on filling the two positions," stated Blose. "There is a great deal of interest in our program, and I know we will find two good coaches to work with us."
