ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Wofford's Noah Dolman scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Terriers downed a cold-shooting UNC Asheville Bulldog squad Monday afternoon, 68-42.
The Bulldogs (3-7) were led in scoring by Chris Stephenson with nine points. John Williams blocked four shots for Asheville.
Wofford forced the Bulldogs into 24 turnovers and cruised to its second straight victory. The Terrirers, knocked off South Carolina Saturday night, limited the Bulldogs to just 37 percent shooting from the field (17-of-46) for the game.
Wofford took control of the game early in the second half. Asheville had trimmed the Terrier lead to two at 30-28 on a John Williams lay-up with 18 minutes to go in the game. The Bulldogs would score just 12 points the rest of the game as the Wofford defense totally shut down Asheville's offense.
The Terriers would go on a 17-3 over the next six minutes to build the lead to 49-33 and would continue to build on the lead the rest of the game.
Wofford out-rebounded Asheville 43-35 and had 19 offensive rebounds to eight for the Bulldogs. The Terriers scored 25 points off Bulldog turnovers. Wofford dominated inside with a 49-20 advantage in the paint.
Asheville plays next at Southern Conference leader Western Carolina on Dec. 30
