ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's basketball team is home Wednesday night when the Bulldogs host Georgia Southern at Justice Center starting at 7 p.m. Fans can get a free general admission ticket by donating a toy for Toys for Tots prior to the game. The game will be video-streamed and can be seen for a small fee at www.bigsouthsports.com.

Asheville (3-5) is coming off a 94-63 win over Southern Wesleyan Friday night. Junior forward Lindsey Montgomery had a tremendous game with a career-high 29 points and 20 rebounds. It was first 20-20 performance by a player since the great Sheila Ford in the 1983-84 season.

The Bulldogs led from start to finish against the Warriors and won going way. Asheville received points from nine different players in the win and scored a season-high 94 points.

Things get tougher with a strong Georgia Southern team invading Justice Center Wednesday night. The Eagles are 4-4 on the season and bring a three-game winning into Wednesday's game.

"We had a nice win on Friday over Southern Wesleyan," commented Bulldog coach Betsy Blose. "Lindsey Montgomery was just sensational but we played well as a team as everyone contributed to the victory.

"However, Georgia Southern will be a real challenge for our team," added Blose. "They play very good defense and are quite athletic. We'll need to be at our best to have a chance to play with them."

The teams played last year with Georgia Southern posting a 52-39 victory in Statesboro.
