ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's tennis programs dedicated their new home with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center this afternoon before a crowd of tennis supporters.

Both Bulldog teams will play and practice at the Crowne Plaza. In addition, UNC Asheville students will be able to use the facility as well with valid ID. The Tennis Center features four indoor courts, seven composition courts and six hard courts.  The six hard courts will be the new "Home of the Bulldogs."

"We're delighted to be partnering with the Crowne Plaza with our tennis programs," declared UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone at the ceremony. "This allows our teams to practice and play both indoors and outdoors at one facility. We believe this will really help our tennis programs."

Senior women's tennis player Louise Bottomley echoed Cone's sentiments.

"I am so excited to be able to call the Crowne Plaza our new home," said Bottomley. "The courts are wonderful to play on, and both teams are thrilled to be playing and practicing here."
