Men's Tennis Team Plays Wofford

The teams were scheduled to play all day Saturday but could not play due to the rain in Asheville area.
Friday's action began with doubles' action both at 1 and 2 p.m. Asheville captured two of the three matches played. Thomas Rees and Adrien Langeard teamed up to beat Wofford's duo of Alan Donald-Paul Bartholomy, 8-5. Nathan White and Matt Waissen downed Stuart Robertson-Tinus Van Wyck, 8-7. The only doubles match the Bulldogs lost in the 1 p.m. slot was when the Terriers duo of Drew Superstein and Trey McKee edged Ryan Mathews and Alex Appelt 8-7.
The 2 p.m. matches had Wofford winning two matches and the Bulldogs winning one. The duo of Langeard-Rees beat Robertson-Van Wyck, 8-6. Wofford's team of Donald- Bartholomy defeated White-Waissen 8-3. The Terriers also got a win from Tom Wood and Michael Schecter over Matthews-Appelt.
There were six singles matches on Friday with the Bulldogs winning thee of those matches. The Asheville single winners were Adrien Langeard, Ryan Matthews and Alex Appelt.
This was the final event for the Asheville's fall season. The team will continue to practice and get ready for the spring season that begins on Jan. 31 at North Carolina Central.
