ASHEVILLE, N.C.?UNC Asheville head women's basketball coach Betsy Blose will be one of 16 speakers who will speak at the Virginia High School Coaches Association Clinic on June 30-July 4, in Hampton Va.
She will be speaking on Monday, June 30, on two topics; “Building Man to Man Defense” and “Team Building”.
Blose joins University of Virginia men's basketball coach Dave Leitao and James Madison women's basketball coach Kenny Brooks as speakers at the clinic. Coaches from football, wrestling, soccer, volleyball, and baseball will also be speaking at the clinic.
Blose, played her college basketball at James Madison and began her coaching career at her alma mater in 1987. She is the only coach from a school outside of the state of Virginia who will speak during the week. She is UNC Asheville's all-time winningest coach in women's basketball with 88 victories. The Harrisonburg, Va. native led the Bulldogs to their first ever Big South Conference championship in 2007.
