Nicholas Thuell Named Alternate to Bermuda Davis Cup Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. - UNC Asheville senior Nicholas Thuell was named to the Big South All-Academic team for men's tennis Wednesday night at the league's awards banquet.

Thuell has been a four-year starter for the Bulldog tennis team and this year has played at the #5 singles and in doubles. He is only UNC Asheville player on this year's roster who has been with the Bulldog program for four years. Thuell has served as this year's captain.

He is an outstanding student and has been a member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll for the past three years. Last week, Thuell presented a research paper at the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research at Salisbury State in Maryland.
