Rain Suspends First Game of VMI Series

ASHEVILLE, N.C.? After a two hour rain delay, UNC Asheville and VMI played just seven minutes of baseball before the game was suspended until Saturday at 2 p.m.
VMI had a runner at third base with two outs in the top of the first inning when the heavy rains came forcing a halt to the game. The game will resume with Brian Sandridge at the plate with a 2-2 count on Saturday.
The teams will play game two 20 minutes after the first game is completed on Saturday.
