Dogs Open Baseball Season at Presbyterian

Baseball to Play Asheville Tourists Monday Night in Exhibition Game

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? The UNC Asheville baseball team will play its annual exhibition game with the Single-A Asheville Tourists Monday night at McCormick Field starting at 7 p.m. The game will be combined with the Tourists annual Fan-Fest that starts at 4 p.m. Admission is a donation of $5 that goes to UNC Asheville. Fans that make the donation will be given two tickets to an Asheville Tourists game.

 

Each team will sign autographs prior to the game and there will be a question-and-answer session for fans with UNC Asheville head coach Willie Stewart and Tourists skipper Joe Mikulik. There will be a Bluegrass Band playing plus discounts on all concessions.

 

“We're very appreciative of this game with the Asheville Tourists,” stated Stewart. “We have built a wonderful relationship with the Tourists and this game helps us out in so many ways. It will be a great experience for our program to play this exhibition game. We're looking very forward to Monday night.”
