ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team looks to get its first win of the season Sunday evening when the Bulldogs host South Carolina State at the Asheville Racquet Club starting at 6 p.m.
Asheville lost its first match of the season last Saturday night with a 4-3 loss to Lees-McRae. South Carolina State is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. S.C. State has been very good in the MEAC over the last seven years with six MEAC championships during that time.
"We're looking to bounce back this Sunday when we face South Carolina State," commented UNC Asheville coach Lise Gregory. "We've worked hard to get better and hopefully that will show up this weekend."
Asheville got singles victories from Joe May, Kesha Sedov and Alexander Greer last weekend against the Bobcats. Nathan White and May teamed up to win their doubles match.
