Baseball to Appear on ESPNU Against Winthrop on April 1 - UNC Asheville Bulldogs Official Athletics Site

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network, will televise two Big South Conference Spring sports beginning next month, it was announced today by Big South Commissioner Kyle B. Kallander. The network will air the Sunday, April 1 UNC Asheville at Winthrop baseball game live from The Winthrop Ballpark at 2:00pm ET, as well as the Radford at Winthrop softball game live from Terry Field on Sunday, May 6 at 1:00pm.
The planned telecasts will increase the League’s total appearances on the 2-year-old college sports network to six this season and 10 overall since the Big South and ESPN signed a new five-year partnership in August 2005.
This will be the Bulldog baseball program's first ever appearance on national television. UNC Asheville won last year's Big South Conference championship and advanced to its first ever NCAA Tournamment.
