CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina won four singles matches en route to a 5-2 women's tennis win over visiting UNC Asheville Wednesday afternoon at the Steve White Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs (3-8) split in doubles as the teams only played two matches. The duo of Lindsay Boykin and Whitney Abbott edged their opponent, 8-6. In singles play, Abbott routed Holly Stocks, 6-3, 6-1 to give UNC Asheville its second point of the day.
UNC Asheville plays again on Friday at Virginia Intermont starting at 2 p.m.
