SPARTANBURG, S.C. - UNC Asheville picked up the doubles point and earned three victories in singles play to edge Wofford, 4-3 in men's tennis action at the Terrier Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (4-1) were able to get the doubles point as the teams of Adam Branks-John Rambotas and Maurico Correa-Rob Nunnery won each match by a score of 8-6.

In singles' play, Paul Ambrose, Branks and Correa all won to give Asheville its fourth straight victory. Both Ambrose and Branks won in three sets.

"It was a battle but we found a way to win and that's always good to see on the road," commented Asheville coach Chase Hodges. "We really worked hard to get the doubles point and got some clutch victories in singles to pull out the win. I'm very pleased to get out of here with a hard-fought victory."
