ASHEVILLE, N.C.--UNC Asheville returns home after a successful 3-0 road trip. The Bulldogs have won five-straight and nine of their last ten but face their toughest challenge of the season as preseason conference favorite Liberty comes to the Justice Center. Asheville and Liberty are both 2-0 and tied for first place in the Big South. Liberty has won 48 straight Big South Conference games.

The Bulldogs have held their two conference opponents to 39.5 points per game and 31 percent from the floor. Big South opponents are just 4-27 (14.8%) from three-point range against the Bulldogs and the Asheville defense has held BSC and Winthrop under 20 points in three of the last four halves of basketball.

All-American candidate and two-time Big South Player of the Year Katie Feenstra leads the Flames and the conference at 17.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Kristal Tharp is averaging 12.5 ppg. The Flames lead the Big South in scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and rebounding. Liberty is 10-5 on the season after defeating Longwood 76-58 on Thursday.

Liberty was won the 18-straight in the series and leads the all-time series 27-6. The Bulldogs last win in the series came 68-59 in Asheville on Feb. 8, 1997.
