Rodney Duncan joined the UNC Asheville Women's Tennis staff as an assistant coach in May 2025.Â
After spending the previous season at Toledo, Duncan reconnects with head coach Jeff Maren as the pair coached together at Liberty. In Duncan’s five years on staff, Liberty advanced to the conference tournament every year, either finishing in the semifinals or finals. After Liberty, he spent one season at Bowling Green (2023-24). Prior to Liberty, he was on staff at Longwood from 2016-18. Prior to joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Duncan worked as a Wilson Tennis Camp instructor from 2011-16 and was also the head girls’ tennis coach at Holy Cross High School in Lynchburg, Va. from 2007-10.
Duncan played collegiate tennis at Division III College of Wooster, where he earned All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles.
