Joy Hall joined the UNC Asheville Sports Medicine staff in February 2025.Â
Prior to joining staff at Asheville, she was an athletic trainer with UNC Pardee working with Valley Springs Middle School and TC Roberson High School. Prior to her return to North Carolina, she was an athletic trainer at Smoky Mountain High School as well as previously working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Georgetown University working with women's basketball and sailing.Â
Prior to Georgetown, she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Charleston in West Virginia, working with both basketball programs, women's volleyball and football from 2019-21. Prior to Charleston, she worked in the Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania from 2015-19 as the Head Athletic Trainer with the Danville School District, a Clinical Instructor at Bloomsburg University and the Head Athletic Trainer for the Millville School District. Hall was a track and field student-athlete at Division II Lees-McRae College from 2008-10, befoer finishing her career at Baylor from 2010-13.Â
Hall holds a Master of Science in Clinical Athletic Training from Bloomsburg University, a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Performances from Baylor and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Lees-McRae.Â
