Joy Flora serves as the business officer for University Enterprises and is responsible for auxiliary projects in Finance and Operations. She is also chair of the Leadership Asheville Advisory Board. Joy moved to Asheville in 2007 after a twenty year career working for ServiceMaster in Chicago and Memphis.
She was most recently President of Merry Maids, a $300 million residential home cleaning company. Joy has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Valparaiso University, an MBA from Northern Illinois University and graduate hours in accounting from Western Carolina University. She is also a certified public accountant.
In her free time, Joy serves as Treasurer of the Asheville Humane Society and enjoys spending time with her “fur children”, hiking, golf, reading, and cooking.
