Jamison McIver joined the UNC Asheville Men's Basketball staff in July 2026.Â
Prior to coming to Asheville, McIver was the head coach at Caldwell Community College from 2018-25, where he coached former Bulldog standout Toyaz Solomon. McIver's squads were nationally ranked in NJCAA Division I for several seasons, boasting several All-Conference players as well as ranking in the Top 20 in the nation in several statistical categories over the years. McIver was elevated to the head coach post after six successful seasons as an assistant.Â
Prior to his time at CCTI, he was an assistant coach at Division II Lenoir-Rhyne (2010-12) and Brevard (2008-10).Â
McIver holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sports Management from Mars Hill.Â
