In his role with the Bulldogs, Miller serves as the primary contact for the UNC Asheville women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and baseball programs.
Miller came to Asheville after running the Athletics Media Relations office at Division II Coker University for three-plus years in his second stint at the institution, first as the Director of Athletics Media Relations before being promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics in September 2021. In that time, Miller worked extensively with Coker's 24 athletic programs, overseeing all aspects of publicity and promotion, social media and live streaming, as well as special events and ticketing for Coker's Athletic department. In addition, Miller promoted 13 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District selections and four Academic All-America® selections.
Miller returned to Coker after one year as the first-ever Assistant Sports Information Director and New Media Manager at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C. He assisted in coverage of 19 NCAA Division II programs, two Division I cycling (USA Cycling) programs and also four club sport programs, while working extensively with the department's social and digital media. He was the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's cycling, men's and women's tennis and women's lacrosse. Miller also promoted one CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection in Pol Vassart of Men's Soccer.
Prior to Lees-McRae, Miller spent the 2017-18 academic year as a sports information intern at his alma mater, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. While at BU, Miller was responsible for covering and promoting men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, men's and women's tennis, softball, women's lacrosse and the Division I wrestling program.
Prior to his return to his alma mater, Miller worked for two years as an Assistant Sports Information Director at Coker College in Hartsville, S.C. while obtaining his master's degree. He was responsible for coverage of women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, women's basketball, wrestling, men's and women's tennis, women's lacrosse and baseball. Miller was also involved in broadcasting and game management during his time at Coker.
Miller arrived in Hartsville in August 2015 after completing an internship in the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league based out of Holly Springs, N.C. He got his start in the field as a student assistant in Bloomsburg's Sports Information office, working for two years.
A Shrewsbury, Pa. native, Miller holds a Master of Science in College Athletic Administration from Coker (2016), and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Bloomsburg (2015). He resides in Asheville.
