Overview: Red-shirt sophomore goalkeeper who earned some playing time in 2009 and performed quite well...will serve as Lassi Hurskainen's back-up this year but will be ready if need be, like he was last year...enjoyed standout prep career at Newton-Conover HS as a goalkeeper...played with Bryan George at Newton-Conover...played club soccer with Connor Holzinger...red-shirted during 2008 season.
2009: Played in five matches and started twice...first career start came at Southern Conference champion Wofford (9-7) and was an impressive one...he stopped 10 shots, including a PK and allowed the Bulldogs to draw with the Terriers, 0-0...also started against Liberty in final regular season match (11-7) and stopped five shots in 2-1 loss.
2008: Red-shirted
Before UNC Asheville: Helped lead Newton-Conover to 2-A state championship as a senior with outstanding performance...produced 10 shutouts during the season and held opponents scoreless for 345 minutes during the state playoffs...was an all-conference performer for three straight years and earned all-region honors as a senior...played for Charlotte Soccer Club and helped U18 team win state championship in 2008.
