KARL STRAUS TRACK

Â
Chancellor Sam Schuman named the UNC Asheville Track in honor of Karl Straus in the fall of 1992. Â Karl Straus is a prominent attorney in the Asheville area, who has been a generous benefactor to the University and the Athletics Department. Â Straus was one of the track's most frequent users and has run many laps around his namesake.
The Karl Straus Track is located on the UNC Asheville campus behind The Sherrill Center, Justice Center and Health and Fitness Center.  Home to the UNC Asheville men's and women's track and field programs. Â

Due to new Big South Conference and NCAA regulations, the track program has not been able to host a home meet in more than seven years.  Click here to help us renovate our UNC Asheville Track Facility to NCAA/IAAF standards so our student athletes, university and community can proudly host and enjoy "home" NCAA Track and Field sporting competitions.
