Lenny Riebe Earns Big South Freshman of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lenny Riebe of the UNC Asheville cross country team has earned Big South Men's Freshman of the Week honors following his performance at the Converse Kick-Off. The league office made the announcement on Wednesday (Sept. 23). 

Riebe was Asheville's third-leading runner at the Converse Kick-Off on Saturday, as he crossed the finish line with a time of 25:31.1.  He placed 21st overall among the 190 competitors in the 8K race, and helped the Bulldogs to a third-place standing out of 15 squads.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday, Oct. 2, when they compete at the Fire Tower Open in Boone, N.C. The men run at 5 p.m. with the women following at 5:40 p.m.
