UNC Asheville Athletics Hosts Annual ASHPYs Banquet

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Athletics and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted the annual ASHPYs Athletics Awards Banquet on Wednesday (April 29) at The Venue in downtown Asheville.
The accomplishments of Asheville student-athletes and teams throughout the 2025-26 season were celebrated throughout the evening, highlighting a year filled with championship performances, record-breaking achievements and continued excellence in competition, the classroom and the community. The night culminated with several awards presented to student-athletes representing Asheville's 16 NCAA Division I athletic programs, recognizing the dedication and success that defined another historic year for the Bulldogs.
"Tonight was a tremendous celebration of what our student-athletes, coaches and staff have accomplished this year," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "This has been an incredible year for Bulldog Athletics, with so many memorable moments, championships and milestones that reflect the hard work and commitment of our entire department. I am so proud of how our student-athletes continue to Dream Bigger and Achieve More in competition, in the classroom and in our community."
