UNC Asheville Names Jill Wilson Special Assistant to AD/Major Gifts

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone announced the hiring of Jill Wilson as Special Assistant to the AD/Major Gifts. Wilson will play a key role in advancing the department's fundraising initiatives and strengthening relationships with Bulldog supporters.
In this role, Wilson will assist with major gift strategy, donor engagement and stewardship efforts, working closely with athletics leadership to enhance resources that directly impact the student-athlete experience at UNC Asheville.
Wilson arrives in Asheville after serving on the staff at LSU Athletics, where she gained valuable experience in a highly competitive collegiate athletics environment as the associate head coach for the women's volleyball team. During her time at LSU, she contributed to program operations while developing a strong foundation in relationship-building and donor engagement.
"We are excited to welcome Jill to our Bulldog family," said Cone. "She brings a passion for people, a strong work ethic and a clear understanding of the impact that meaningful relationships and philanthropic support can have on a department. Jill will be an important addition as we continue to grow and elevate UNC Asheville Athletics."
