Marika Dickel Announced Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South has named Marika Dickel the Big South Freshman of the Week after her performance at the Furman Invitational (Sept. 13). The league announced Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Dickel was the fastest Big South Freshman across the line at the Invitational, placing 26th out of 69 total runners at 24:18.18. She was the fourth fastest Bulldog on the day, and helped Asheville to a third-place finish ahead of Charleston Southern (fourth-place).

The Bulldogs travel next to Louisville, Kentucky, for the Live in Lou Classic (Oct. 3).
