Grace Adams and Caitlin Hefner Named to Academic All-ASUN Team

ATLANTA, Ga. - UNC Asheville Swimming and Diving seniors Grace Adams and Caitlin Hefner have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-ASUN Team, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Mar. 5).

Adams scored in all three individual events at the 2025 ASUN Championships, finishing seventh in the 100 back, 10 in the 1650 free and 16th in the 200 back. Adams was also part of three top-five relay teams at the conference championship meet. Academically, Adams is a Political Science major with a minor in Legal Studies and Human Rights and a 3.908 grade point average. She has been named to the Dean's list for three semesters and the Chancellor's List for four semesters while also participating in Undergraduate Research.

This is Adams's first career Academic All-ASUN honor. She is a native of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Hefner finished fourth in the 1650 free, 10th in the 500 free and 14th in the 200 free at the 2025 ASUN Championships, as well as being part of two top-five relay teams. She is a double major in Physics and Mathematics with a minor in Business Management and a 3.99 GPA. She has been named to the Chancellor's list for six semesters and the Dean's List for one semester.

This is Hefner's second career Academic All-ASUN honor. She is a native of Mt. Holly, N.C.
