Jade Canady Named Atlantic Sun Conference Co-Diver of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. - UNC Asheville fifth-year diver Jade Canady has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Co-Diver of the Week, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Feb. 5).

Asheville beat Campbell 284-63 and also dropped a close 192-161 dual to Liberty over the weekend (Jan. 31-Feb. 1).

Canady placed fourth in the 3M with a score of 217.15 and second in the 1M with a score of 223.90, as the Bulldog divers collectively scored their highest places ever in a dual meet against Liberty.

"Our divers were amazing this weekend at Liberty, led by fifth-year Jade Canady," said diving coach Matthew Macon. "Diving so well at her last dual is a great way to cap her college career."

This is Canady's second career ASUN Diver of the Week honor and fourth career conference Diver of the Week honor. The Huntersville, N.C. native is an art major.

The Bulldogs return to the water Feb. 19-22 for the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships. The championships will take place at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee.
