UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving Named Fall Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving has been named a Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2024 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America, announced by the organization yesterday (Tuesday, Feb. 3).

To earn Scholar All-America Team honors for the semester, a team must post a collective team GPA of at least 3.0. Asheville has earned Scholar All-America Team honors each of the team's 25 semesters of existence, all under head coach Elizabeth Lykins.

"The staff is extremely proud of this team for achieving the program's highest ever GPA of 3.76," said head coach Elizabeth Lykins. "It was an incredibly trying Fall term for Asheville and all of WNC, but this team battled in the classroom and in the water to show such resilience."

Asheville is one of 781 teams from 459 institutions to earn the honor for the Fall 2024 semester. With a 3.76 team GPA for the semester, Asheville also qualifies for the Intercollegiate Coach Association All-Sport Academic Standings. In addition, the entire Atlantic Sun Conference for Women's Swimming and Diving was recognized with Scholar All-America Team honors.

The Bulldogs return to the water Feb. 19-22 for the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships. The championships will take place at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee.
